    well the ole wood box came home this evening... wiring done, speedo fixed, third member pinion seal & yoke fixed... time to enjoy it more... thank you to Thunfield.. Marshall , Gary & J.H. for all the hard work. Many thanks !!!.

    been enjoying the woodie, looking into chrome reverse rims now... 15 x 6 fronts and 15 x 7 rears.. Looks to be enough room in the rear... Just need to figure out the back spacing on the rims and order them... My last set I bought from wheel kid here for my 35 Coupe,they were really nice. Is he still a Alliance Vendor. ribbon whites 205/75-15 and 225/75-15 would be my guess here. running 6.70 x15 and 7.10 x15 right now on the stock rims. I have a set of vintage cal custom blunt bullet caps to install, 60's perfect... time for a second set of shoes

    Rob, be sure and check tire clearance on both sides out back, shoebox rear tire clearance is often as much as an inch difference side to side.

    had that problem on my 49 Coupe, but the woodie seems to have lots a room out back....anyone know the back spacing on stock 49-51 steel rims ?
