can't wait to sand off all that stupid shinney paint...

when yoou hit the start button it starts right up...someone converted it to 12v...
so I figured I would pull one of the plug wires and put a couple quarts of 2 stroke oil in the gas tank... should get a little smoke out of the tail pipe,,, how cool would that be!!!

Stock looking truck, wrong bumpers, wrong engine colour and whitewalls, fenders should be black. Positive cable off, so it likely has a drain. If it was my truck, I would be very proud of it, a nice addition to the hamb, but not the coolest truck here by any stretch.

i've seen a few so far... badd ass painted trucks... then they sanded spots every where.... down to the primer..... then clearcoated and buffed... not for me, and thruthfull....I don't get it

 

red rid'n in the hood, is gonna get dropped soon... very soon...as i remember back 50 years ago, drop axel and springs gets it in the weeds??? whats the right or left way now days

 

That´s a real nicely done truck! I don´t understand everything you write, but that´s probably my lacking English.
As for dropping your truck, reversed shackles out back, a dropped axle up front and maybe every other leafs left out should bring it done some. But it´s a truck, it´s ok for it to be high.

AS FAR AS STOCK SPRINGS......HOW MANY LEAVES NEED TO COME OUT ON THE FRONT..... and which ones?

That truck is perfect, maybe a set of dual carbs. My dad had a red 51 as a Dailey driver circa 68-70 with a 283 with Duntov cam. Was always disappointed that he sold it.

 

That is one cool truck...love it!
In the '80s I built this "48 Ford PU 289/C4. I can't find any pics of it lowered, but I lowered it by mounting the front axle ON TOP of the springs instead of under them. It took some work but worked out fine...and it cost nothing...which was perfect for a poor kid with no money.

 

Is there any way you could 'fix' the driver side door handle so it droops down a few inches ? All the really cool trucks have a droopy-door-handle !

I did say it was a nice addition to the hamb, and that I would be proud of it. Those are 50 bumpers, the 51’s in my mind had more style. Nothing wrong with red fenders, but you should check out how they look in black.

 

they say 3'' drop.... sounds too easy...and the 2 leaf stack probley lowers two iinch alone.....so no steering issues

 

Here are a couple off the web that show the contrast I was talking about, not sure about their grill colour choices, and the step plates, but that is what makes them individual. Variation gives us something to talk about.

 

i was gonna take the inside one on the driver side off strip the shaft and put a little vise grip

 

they're all kinda cool... but seem to be all a little different... lots of flavors...
