I'm Jeff. Just bought a 51 Shoebox Business Coupe. Can't wait to start work on it! Interested in transplanting a small block Ford, T5 and bullet proof rear end. Mustang II in front and 4 link in rear. Hoping to obtain 3 inch ride height using coil overs and disc brakes. Seen alot of S10 front clip mods. Has anyone actually dropped a Shoebox onto an S10 frame? Any and all suggestions, info, pics appreciated!:)

  2. That all sounds way too modern for my tastes, but it's not my car is it?

Have a look around. Use the search function, there's a ton of info on here for what you want to do. Find the social groups (under the Community tab up top of the page) and join the shoebox group and the brave frame swappers.

Maverick 8-inch rear is what you want for the rearend. The stock front susp is good if you rebuild it, no need for Must II or full S-10 swap. You can put disc brakes on the stock spindles if you want disc.
