1951 Ford VIN locations?

    Besides the tag on the firewall do 1951's have the VIN stamped anywhere else?

    Thanks for any help!

    Look on the frame rails, ahead of the firewall.

    I think its stamped on the firewall too.
     
  4. On the frame ahead of the main front crossmember. There is a piece of channel about 45 degrees going to the frame horns that the bumper brackets bolt to. It's on the top of that 45 degree piece and I believe it's on the p***enger side.

  5. The Firewall numbers are date codes and have nothing to do with Vin numbers.

    Yes just had my 51 state inspected, thats where it is just behind the radiator on the 45 degree brace. The firewall plate doesn't reflect the vin number

    When I had my dads 51 I remembered some numbers on the firewall .

    I have one from NY that the serial number is stamped on the firewall and one from CA that isn't..Probably depends where was ***embled..The front 45° brace is the spot but a search on here will tell of other locations as well..
