I just scored this International Fridge for free for giving this guy my old Fridge I had sitting in my shop used fo Pepsi Lites it was working before the guy fried the electronic overload on it does anyone know where I can get something that can replace it? The freezer was still cold when I picked this up today I would hate to get rid of this or just have it sit everything is there and still in great condition. HELP PLEASE
you'd be amazed what sears can get as far as appliance parts, dont call-go in and take reference parts, get a hard start kit for it while you're at it.
Might want to try posting it at the garage journal as well. Tons of great info for your garage/shop. And EVERYONE needs a good frig in their garage. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/
Thanks guys I will try that I took all the parts off it that need to be replaced to head to every applance store around here but that won't be until Monday so I will keep this updated! Stupid business trips.
Mechanically speaking, 1940s and 1950s refrigerators are dead simple and easily repaired. The challenge is overcoming our throwaway/modern-is-more-efficient (untrue for fridges) mentality to get information. If it still has freon and the compressor isn't seized it'll work again. Good luck. -Dave
