Stunning work and dedication to a cause. I latched onto this thread after being directed to it by the TRJ opening paragraph. Now to read the article! Enjoy driving your hard work!
Finally working on the seats. Got the passenger seat down 1" - 1.5" and it makes a huge difference. Gonna bolt that in and get started on the driver's seat soon. I also fixed the front turn signal wiring and resealed the transmission pan. Hopefully no more drips! The car will be at SEMA, please come say hi if any of you go.
I just got off the phone with Vintage Air, and I'll be installing a Mark IV underdash A/C unit before SEMA. The car will be on the ramp by Ford, come check it out.
Hey guys, Speedhunters just put up a feature on the car with some really nice pics and a pretty thorough article. Check it out and please leave a comment on the Speedhunters site at the bottom of the article. The more interest people show in a certain type of car, the more they will feature them. I think its awesome to expose people to real hot rods and kustoms on a mainstream automotive site. http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/10/dragn-kaiser-feature/
Well I may never make it to SEMA but at least some of my work did, lol. Congrats, Keith, you are living the deam!
Thanks for posting here and replying there LN7. I got some interesting coverage at SEMA, Eastwood did an interview, eBay Motors wrote about it on their blog, and lots of other people posted on Facebook where I got more likes than I have ever gotten on my personal account. Guess that's the power of the internet and marketing. It was definitely a different and diverse crowd at SEMA. The best part was that nearly every major builder was there so I could show them my car in person. Also Gene got to see the car finished for the first time, which was very cool.
All your hard work and effort was so worth it, that car looks amazing, I hope to see it in person one day!
when I saw it was a 4 door I said to myself "how cool could this look?" when I saw the chop and coupe I said to myself "how cool will this look?" when I saw the paint and chrome and attention to minutia I said to myself "holy **** that thing is cool" mindblowing. and uses a modern chassis to boot, what a great project.
I have looked in on your thread from time to time but never posted for some reason.. Just wanted to tell you that I love your car and you have done an amazing job on it and if I could I would marry your car!
I occasionally come back to this thread, like an old book... just to experience it again. best Kaiser ever.
I met the guys from Eastwood at SEMA and they were really interested in the car. They did an interview with me and made a YouTube video. It shows a lot of details on the car and they did a really nice job editing. http://youtu.be/iiibnrNG99M
I like the video. There are some details that I have not seen before. Glad to see you getting more recognition for all your hard work.
Thanks guys. Hey everyone, please take a minute to vote for me on Speedhunters for Builder of the Year. I'm up against a bunch of imports...tough crowd. http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/12/builder-of-the-year/
