  2. I would just like to get started.
That’s after adding on the the shop. Replacing the shop lighting, plus 3 other rides in front of it.
But, I have thought about tackling the rockers soon.

  3. The ones we used back in the early 00's were the only game in town and pretty crappy parts. Even if you only got them within 90% they would be 100% better!

  4. I’ve been half tempted to rebuild the stock brakes and drop in a cheap 283 I bought and cruise it

  6. As I remember them a Brake don't do ya much good for the outer Rockers. They have a Bow as well as an arc. I guess I could go put a strait edge on the bottom of my door to double check. I kind of remember some story's about a member getting some on and not being able to close the Doors due to the lack of shape. His were made in a Brake.

  7. If so, I can do two things.
One is bend the outside profile. Shape with a shrinker then add the door sill area. And then bend the lower flange.
The other is bend the outside profile, then apply heat along the flange edges in small areas to shrink it. This will arc the rocker slightly. Then add the door sill area

I made a this rocker in a brake then manipulated the shape to arc

  8. I agree, where there's a will there's a way. Like other's have said "I can't believe nobody is stamping a correct one".

  9. I’m not a trained metal guy. So I don’t know what the limitations are.
I have been lucky enough to work with some talented folks.
Somewhere between blind ignorance and skills gained through osmosis being next to smart people lies the answer

  10. I believe if you want something bad enough, you'll figure out how to make one your proud of (it may not be your first attempt). As soon as you say it can't be done, you'll be right but only for yourself.
