I'm trying to find a replacement trunk pan for my Pontiac Chieftain. The only ones I have been able to find do not have the cut out for the spare tire.
Just a guess, but what if you find a replacement pan without the spare tire well and also buy a replacement spare tire well for the same year Chevy? EMS makes the well for Chevies. I do not know if they are the same as Pontiac. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
How would this work for patching the trunk gutters? http://www.tptools.com/Flexible-Edge-Repair-Panels,2842.html
as for the trunk pan yes buy the non spare tire pan and make the cut out ( do not forget to look at the peice behind the rear crossmember that joins the body as they do rot out too mine has pinholes ) . as for the channel . better off finding a donor car to get the piece from as they are a pain to rebuild ( as some are double panels and need to be spot welded together , mines not near me so I cannot look at it right away to tell you whats involved .
The sheet metal behind the rear cross member is rusted out. Will the patch panel for Chevrolet Stylelines fit a Pontiac Chieftain?
take a look at EMS's part 217 as the a bodys were basically all the same, they also have the brace too #257
