Did the '52-'54 Mercs have a dog-dish hubcap available? What did it look like? I've been running '52-'54 Ford dog dishes on my Falcon, but I might be getting a Comet, and would like to get the same look.

Merc's probably had full wheel covers but don't quote me on it! I only say this because Mercurys were more up-scale than the Fords and full wheel covers were probably standard. Only a guess on my part. Check www.hubcaps.com. They have a big selection but are pricy.

The Mercury "dogdish" hubcaps had a Mercury head on a white background from '52-'56. The '51 small hubcaps had a gold Mercury head in the center. '49 and '50 had a smooth style, like a baby moon with squared outer edges. I'm not sure I have seen anything from '57 until the 60's version that Jeff found on ebay. The 50's hubcaps are had to find and expensive for a good usable set. Believe me I know.
