I have a 52 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup that I bought 2 years ago. I was told by the previous owner that the master cylinder was recently rebuilt. After sitting in my garage for about 6 months, the brake petal goes to the floor. I checked behind each wheel hub & see no brake fluid, nor does the master cylinder show a leak. Could sitting so long cause air to get into the brake system? Might I only need to bleed the brake lines? Thanks for any help.

Start by bleeding the brakes, I could be wrong but air should not get in your system just by sitting. You might have a loose fitting or the seal to your MC might not be any good.
