1952 kaiser visor worth

a friend of mine found a 1952 Kaiser visor in has grandpas attic, and he wants to cut it down to fit his forty's ford pickup but I told him to wait til' I found out how rare they are. Just didn't want him to wreck something with out knowing more about it.So my questions are are they rare and are they worth any more than a ford truck one and should he just cut this one up
