Runs, drives, stops, lights work and legally titled in my name as an antique.
1952 Pontiac Chieftain 2 door with the roof cut off. This is a true old school custom with these mods done many years ago. It's been lowered, tail light bezels filled in, home made fender skirts etc.
Has a 1956 Chevy 235 ci six cylinder engine and 3 speed manual trans and floor shifter. Runs nice and smooth but does smoke quite a bit mostly after sitting for several days. Clutch works good. Has a rebuilt master cylinder, new front wheels cylinders and brake shoes. Some of the brake lines replaced.
Electrical has been 80% rewired and switched to 12 volt. Brake lights, tail lights, head lights and the super cool light up hood ornament all work. Starter has been rebuilt and the battery is newer.
Some rust in the floor boards but still solid. I can stand in the car. Has a floor heater that was under drivers seat that was removed for the Chevy exhaust. There is some bondo here and there but you are buying something that runs and drives while you continue fixing it up. Comes with a extra windshield and some of the trim and floor heater that was removed.
As mentioned above I do drive this car legally on the streets. I would not drive it at hwy speeds until a few more things are done such as the tires are cracking and should be replaced. The seats are just sitting in the car and are not bolted down. It will burn about 1 quart of oil in a hour. Plan on trailering it unless you are within 30 miles of Topeka or you can take your chances with no working gauges and crappy tires.
I have owned and enjoyed this car for about 3 years. I now am neck deep into a 1947 pickup project so I must sell this Led Sled to fund the truck. I truly hate to see it go but that's life.
I can email you more pics and even a video of me driving it so just ask for them or any other questions you may have. Asking $2875.00 obo and may consider partial trade ins with cash coming my way. I like old dirt bikes, mini bikes, pit bikes, old cars, old trucks and Pontiac V8 stuff.
Antique Title in my name and ready to go. Why pay for a empty body shell of a project when you can buy this and drive it the day you get it? Greaserama is Labor Day weekend and the car has been out of circulation a long time. 20140823_144432.jpg 20140823_144422.jpg 20140823_144710.jpg 20140823_144520.jpg 20140823_144509.jpg 20140823_144721.jpg 20140823_144735.jpg 20140823_144459.jpg 20140823_144540.jpg 20140823_144527.jpg 20140823_140243.jpg
