Does anyone know if a 51 bumper will fit a 52 front. I know it’s about 2 inches shorter and I'm sure I will have to fab some supports just wondering if anyone has ever done it. I want to go with a smooth curved front bumper on my 52 not the multiple points like the factory one. Any other suggestions/options are welcome.

I'll be HAPPY to source you a 51 front bumper for the small price, of, say,... hmmmm,.. maybe one really cool 53 Chevy grille with extra teeth that is already set up for a 52/53..
That will look way cool on my car, Rhett! :)

    hehehe

Good call, I didn't think about a Chevy but I bet that would look good.

Only 1952-53 Front bumpers interchange directly you might look here for some ideas: http://www.kustomrama.com/index.php?***le=1952_Ford Notice several of these cars would "flip" the bumpers upside down to make the car appear lower. If you are going to rechrome the bumper you can put the bolts to the inside and fill the holes to get that smooth look and still retain the stock mounting brackets.

Would guess seeing as its for an F150 it would be wider and taller than any p***enger car bumper. Not to mention a bit square as it wraps up at the top.

Like I said get out the tape measure, you never know what fits till you check it out with a walk through your local Salvage yard. That extra width might work in you favor take into account that when adapting that bumper you will have to alter the splash pan to match the contour of what ever you choose.Maybe some of the mid-size or compact trucks might be a better fit and run about the same price new.

I'm very interested in where you go with this. I also have a 52 Victoria and would like to find a smooth bumper alternative. If you find a solution please share. Thanks Mike
