I am building a 53' 235 6 banger for my uncles belair and am wondering if there are any speed parts for these motors im having trouble finding but ive heard there are some elusive roller valve train parts and other stuff.. I am not very well rounded on alot of motors but the motors i do screw around with i usually become as familiar with as possible. i am a BIG MEL guy(430,462 410 and such lincoln and merc for those of you not familiar) also y block and of course SBC (who isnt right) so my point is this i currently manufacture speed parts not offered anywhere else for the MELS like distributors and gears also camshafts and timing gear drives and valve cover adaptors to use bbc covers so if i have to make parts for these 6ers i think there would be somewhat of a market cause of the novelty of using the inline 6 with this rat rod movment but id rather not have to go through all that for this motor since its not even mine but id do it for my uncle .... ANYWAYS sorry for draging this out im a little buzzed right not so im not thinking very clearly and cant get my thoughts together hahahaha
Jeeze. In the morning, when you're not drunk, go to Speedway, or go to National Chevy ***ociation, or Chev's Of The 40's, or Patricks. Or even look on eBay. Oh yeah, and the cl***ifieds right here on the HAMB. Headers and 2 or 3 carb intakes for the 235 are just a 1-800 call and a credit card number away. So are valve covers, chrome side covers, and a bunch of other stuff. Now if you want to go all out race on one, that's another story, you'll probably have to make things or dig up old NOS speed parts from the '50s.
yea i see all the stuff from the usual sources but im needing more specificaly roller valve train stuff... available???
mines got the head shaved, cammed, and 4 bbl with split exhaust manifold. they make stuff. search these pages....you'll find it.
