Is there different transmissions that will bolt to a 303 olds motor?

Auto, manual? There are adapters available.

  3. I bolted a 1940 Pontiac transmission to my 303 using a '50 Olds bellhousing with one hole I drilled into it for the reverse shaft to p*** through a tiny amount.

  4. Bendtsen's makes adapters for anything you want to put behind a 303.

one year only '50 bell allows the 50 Olds ****** or the '37+ Lasalle trannies to work. '51 bell allows the '51+ selector trannies to be used or a '37 Buick ******. The latter was often equipped with the '51 selector gut to get a stronger set of gears. F&J did a tech on this application a couple of years ago. And of course there are a mess of alternative set ups using bell adapters from Ross Racing and others that adapt Muncies, Borg Warners, and the newer AOD's.
I have a bunch of 50 Olds std ****** stuff is you are looking for parts. Just give me a PM.

If you want to use a automatic use a 54-56 hydro as they are duel range the older ones are single range be careful not to aquire a 56 jetaway the hydro's don't have a park where the jetaway's do the hydros will bolt up without any adaptors
