Hot Rods 1953 Bel Air powerglide any idea production numbers?

    I just bought a 53 Bel Air with a powerglide. I will post pictures tomorrow because it was delivered after dark. My search for production numbers on Bel Airs with a powerglide didn't come up with any numbers. Anyone have an idea how many were made? I am so excited about this car and it's history I can't wait to see it in the daylight.

    Rough guess - over 50% Bel Airs, 25% 210s, & 3-4% 150s ... The '53 'glider is a great improvement over the earlier version, but that's not saying a whole lot ...

    No idea of how many cars they came in that year but they worked pretty good as long as you didn't abuse them.
    Finding someone to rebuild one right now might be a challenge.
