Does anyone make the front body mount/outrigger for these cars? Surplus Supply has what looks to be 80% correct from the basic line drawing on their website but not 100% on them and I've been calling for 3 days to no avail. Any other options? I've checked carpenter, drake, etc....Ken....
nothing in the catalog, but I haven't called to make sure it's mot a newer product they haven't added to their catalog. Actually they were my first check...ken...
Check macsautoparts I bought mine for my 54 from them and they worked out great Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
EMS was a no as I called them. Same thing with Macs. Surplus Supply still the only vendor I can find and still no answer on that end. Lookin' like we'll be fabbing them ourselves. no big deal...ken....
We made all the outriggers for our 54 Victoria as they were toast . Though the body was fairly good. You could fabricate them easily with out special tools just a vice and snips and a welder.
We repaired ours.... Here's how we did its (scroll down a bit.) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=816780&page=2
Cool. Pretty much what we had planned. Just checking to see if anyone made decent ones without the customer paying the time for us to fab them but it'll probably be cheaper for us to fab them anyhow. We just moved into out new building this week and things are a bit of a mess with stuff everywhere and just trying to see if anything was available to keep us from fabbing them. We had already planned to make the inner and outer rockers anyhow might as well just make all of it....ken...
I think the ones surplus supply sells will do the job. It seems kinda like a one man company as the same guy always answers the phone when I call . They were good to do business with in all my dealings. Lotsa parts for 52-54 Fords. Cant get a right side front rear quarter though- They only reproduced the left. The owner may be on a holiday. If you aren't in a big hurry I'd wait a few days and call again.... or e-mail
