SOLD!!!! Thank you. This 1953 Ford F100 Custom Pickup was professionally built and restored from the frame up about 15 years ago. It has been meticulously maintained both cosmetically and mechanically. Since being built, it has been driven less than 8,000 miles. It is powered by a Chevrolet 283 engine which is believed to have come from a 1960 Corvette. It has a 700R4 automatic transmission with a floor shift kit. The body, fenders, running boards and bed are straight as an arrow, top to bottom, front to rear. There is no evidence of any body repair. The door and hood fit the body with even gaps and margins. The bed is a correct steel replacement. The inside of the bed is like new and the wood floors were recently refinished. The paint is excellent and still looks like new. There is no cracking or shrinkage to any of the painted areas and the gloss is consistent throughout. The hood is hinged from the front. Under the hood, the engine bay and firewall are very clean and well detailed. The chassis is nicely painted and extremely clean. The tires are excellent and show hardly any signs of wear. The dark red interior is extremely clean and shows hardly any signs of wear. The dashboard and gauges are excellent and clear and there is a stereo built into the headliner. Mechanically, the truck starts easily and runs great. The engine runs smooth and has a nice mellow rumble to it. The truck drives and steers nice and straight and has great road manners. It has the original VIN tag and is titled by the original 1953 Ford VIN number. The price is 23,500.00 which is far less than the cost of the build. Located in Ann Arbor, MI.
