1954 Pontiac or 1955 Olds You just need to find old junkyard and see what they have as desirable ones are scarce and rechrome high if needed..
You have what appears to be a stock grille in great condition with very nice chrome. Dare to be different …….leave it as is.
Cool Ford! I have a 1952, gonna go with a 1954 Chev myself... IMG_9674 by A.D.D. posted Jan 30, 2024 at 6:52 PM IMG_2758 by A.D.D. posted Jan 30, 2024 at 6:52 PM
There's an aftermarket piece that covers the center grill after the bullet is removed, It's clean and very 50's
How about some complimentary pinstripe work on the hood. From a single picture I don’t know what your overall vibe is.
Straight Axle no grill and a Moon tank . I had a 53 Coupe in HS , I kinda liked the airplane propeller grill look , if you have a good one I’d keep it. Just my 2 cents
Al Twitchells '52 Ranch Wagon, 1954 Ford grille surround with '54 turn signals &grille extensions, the center piece is from a 1954 Pontiac. HRP
So, I wanted to share something I learned about 1952-1954 Fords. Maybe this is common knowledge, but I’ll share anyways: This is my 1952 Ford. The parking lights mount into massive round holes with a raised edge on the outside (there is also a vertical seam under the headlight) Here is the ‘53: Outside of the fender appears to be the same, with a newer style design closest to the grille opening: The 1954 has a complete grille “Opening” (like the 1955). I also grabbed some already cut off front fender piece from a 1954 (I think) Mercury. It’s pretty obvious how much lower the grille opening is, and where it’s cut off for the bumper: I am sharing this, because I have a 1954 Chevy grille with extra teeth. My Ford is a 1952, so I am working around those big parking light holes! Have not decided how I will install my grille… but just sharing some knowledge for 1952-1954 owners out there!
Sorry for photos at the beginning, accidentally inserted those without realizing. How do I remove them?
