I'm using 12 volt gauges and Does anyone know the thread size of the temperature sensors. Since mine are aftermarket I will have to use an adapter.

Most auto parts store sell adapter kits for temp gauges with a few options in the bag.

    Thanks for the reply:
Dolphin gauges said I needed to use their sensor to work with their gauges. The sensors came with a few adapters, but the wrong size. I will go to a hardware store and try to find a .66 inch adapter with fine threads. I was wondering if the ford sensors used pipe threads.
My aluminum radiator does not have a drain plug, I don't want all that water in my shop, I can't push the car outside, because the steering column is out of it. I may have to wait until I can get the car outside.

    I would assume you're running a flathead or I6 in your 53?

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I would rethink the dolphin gauges. I and a bunch of my buddies have had problems with the sender seem to be the main problems. sorry Tom

Well I have them now, either use them or throw them away.
I found the adapters today 3/8 pipe in a flathead.

    Thanks all.
