I am considering buying a 1953 Ford "Mainline Wagon" as described by the seller. Would anyone be able to tell me if the serial number is stamped somewhere on the frame? The car does not have a drive line, but it has a "clean****le." So, just trying to cover my bases. Any help is appreciated, I looked at VanPelts, but maybe I missed what I was looking for. Happy Independence Day!
The frame should have the serial number stamped on the passenger side just behind the front upper control arm, and again on the driver side on top of the frame, which would require body removal to see.
On my 54 Customline, the serial # is stamped on top of the frame rail, right at the corner where the right inner fender panel and core support meet. You may have to push the little rubber mud flap out of the way to see it.
Thank you sir for the picture! I appreciate you time. And thank you too Bangingoldtin for the info...
