yeah the ad says "kit to convert drums to disc brakes..." so I asked "does this kit include stuff for both sides or is it just one side per kit?". He responds "Can you not read the giant red lettering!?" fwiw...the "giant red lettering" had nothing in it stating that it was single or multiple items...which I explained to him, and then he responds with something along the lines of "If you would read it better you would know, and I'm sick of dealing with people who don't read"...so I said "thanks for being a dick, and I'll buy my shit somewhere else"

"The typical 2 wheel conversion costs are $350 to $400 depending on your application. We also can sell wheel kits, and in some case complete kits."

First sentace means a pair to me. Second means one or the other, or something else!

Maybe he should deal with writing skills a little better.

I don't know if anyone else does but I hope the scarebird dude is a member here so he can see that he just lost some business.

Wow I think he needs to clarify that statement before he loses any more business because I can find at least 20 flaws in that statement copied by danimal.

Dude Those Ponchos are the shit, way better than their Chevy cousins.
Buzz Bomb's one is so sweeet! I'd go that route w/ a few styleish custom touches.
    Good luck!

I plan on running '56 olds headlight rings, '54 chevy front bumper and gravel pan, '56 ford rear bumper (with exhaust cut outs), extending the rear qauters and putting in '56 packard lenses, nice subtle chop, four link with bags on all four corners, and a '54 chevy front grille without the teeth.

    I weren't no english major...physics, baby, physics...but I wanted to check that I wasn't reading it wrong.

Forgive my Poncho ignorance, what is the difference between a Poncho hub and a Chebby? I can't believe you couldn't figure out how to make your own conversion as most are just a misformed C bracket that mount the caliper. If you are going to bag it, why not look into the Master Welder Series suspension? You'll have the front of the car off to swap the motor anyway. Or go back to your original idea of clipping it?

Come on, Chevy grille bar with no teeth? Why not the RIGHT grille?

I love the look of a '54 grile without the teeth. Gives the look of a floating bar but with side lights

I used the fatman droped uprights and the scarebird disk kit. I also bagged the stock setup. With the scarebird kit what you get is the caliper brackets and shims to run tapered roller bearings instead of the old ball bearings.(both sides) You also get a list of part numbers so you can go to the parts store and buy calipers, rotors, bearings, ect. Thats where the $350-$400 comes in. I would recomend them to anyone, total quality parts in my opinion. Here are some pics.

When I got my car it was a basket case without a motor or trans, so I droped in a spare 350/350 auto I had sittin around the garage. Pretty ez, finding the sweet spot between the fuel pump on the right and the exhast past the steering box on the left was the tricky part.

I used some universal mounts from trans-dapt. A little modifying and they worked great. I dont have pics here on the computer but I'll go out and shoot some. Sometimes when I'm working on the cars I forget to take progress pics so all i'll have on the motor mounts will be done shots.

I have frenched in 50 tail lights and headlights from a 55 caddy (i think it was a 55 or 57) and a 472 Caddy in my 53 pontiac hardtop. and dont be fooled they are nothing like a chevy once you get passed the middle of the car. Doors, glass and roof. Otherwise nothing swaps.

yeah thats the major downfall of these cars is that they are so rare really no one makes anything for them, but you always see stuff for the chevys
