I am Looking at Gl*** for my 1953 Custom Project.
The Gl*** Supplier that I found says that Mainline Side Gl*** is different than the Side Gl*** for a Customline.
I thought they were the same.
    Anyone know what is different?

He is only half right, looking at your album your side gl*** looks the same as my '54 Customline 2 door sedan from what I see in my Ford Parts Manual they should be the same. The manual mentions a stationary gl*** which is probably for the rear gl*** in a Mainline business coupe this model did not have a back seat or rear window cranks this is an example:http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&h...=15&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0,i:109&biw=1143&bih=634 If you want pm me and I can measure my Customlines side gl*** EZ as I have the interior out to insulate it and upholster.

Sorry, Forgot to tell you that my Car is a 4 Door Sedan. Thought by some to be uncool and never Customized. Any thing with wheels was ok back in the 50's. My original car was a Customline and this time I purchased a Mainline for the build. Will be adding the window chrome to make it look like a Customline.

The gl*** in a 53 customline 4dr and a 54 4dr customline or mainline is the same. The only difference would be in clear and tinted. Also, my 53 4dr. has been customized for over 26 years and I think they all look cool.
