wondering if anyone can give me any info on where i might research the origin of this car. I rescued this portion of a 1953 studebaker from the crusher. the guy said i could take the whole car (what was left of it) but i didnt have room at the time. so i cut the section out that i thought might have historical significance. i was told it was a Bonneville car which isnt terribly rare in these parts as I live just south of the flats. The guy i got it from was using it for parts to finish his project. He didnt have any real recollection as to who he bought it from but said he was told it was raced in the 60's. The more i look at it the more i wonder if it couldnt be a Roth piece.... your thoughts and opinions?[IMG]

The lettering does have some similarities to Von Dutch. Hard to say though. Cool find.

I'd ask over on the forum of landracing.com ....
Some of the old salt dogs might have the answer.
