I've been looking for a bolt in front suspension for my 54 Chevy, and I found an article saying that R and B Obsolete made a kit, then I heard that R and B closed. Any one know who may still supply this kit, or something similar that bolts in?
    Any help greatly appreciated.

  3. Jaguar xr6. I am building a chassis with one now. Simple and the right tread width. Check the threads for Jag.
    Cheap, too.

The only drawback to CE setup is only manual steering. If that is not a problem, it's all bolt-in. Several companies have bolt-in crossmembers then weld-on spring topcaps and motor mounts, with power rack. TCI has one. Check Walton also.

Kimbridge Enterprises made all the bolt in crossmembers that RB's sold before closing. Kimbridge now sells tham direct. Cross member is $549. I just got the catalog the other day.

I took some long looks at the units RB sold at a couple of Good guys events when they had them on display chassis. That's a very straightforward and simple way to go and anyone with a tape measure, half inch drill and a few hand tools can install it in short order.

The pie in the sky units like the Jag setups might be the way to go for guys who have a well equipped shop and the knowledge to make them to work but I would believe that they are a bit more than a lot of guys want to tangle with. What is easy and simple for one guy can be a huge can of worms for someone else.
