Hello I want to bag my 54 Buick road master. My question is for the rear. Can I leave the rear lever shocks and take the springs out? I’m going to use strut masters for the front so I’m not worried about that thanks.

  2. That will depend on what the purpose of the spring replacements are. The lever shocks are designed and installed for a specific range of travel. If the intention is to lower the car beyond that travel, the piston inside the shocks will bottom out and not operate.

    This thread may get moved.

There are 2 ways to go.
A complete kit designed for your specific application, which has all the parts thought out and will work with your suspension and provide the dropped and running heights you want. This may be available, but is going to be more money. Make sure you have after sale tech support.
A DIY kit that will require that you or your shop of choice to figure out mounting, travel and support parts, plus clearance solutions. This will be a cheaper buy-in, but may cost more in total.
In either case, I'd research who to buy from to make sure the parts are good quality. Suspension failures are not to be taken lightly.

Here's one, I've haven't head of them, but I don't know the players in the industry.

Here's Cl***ic, who I have head of, but this appears to be a standard kit, not designed for this exact application.
