I think another option for us wacky COE owners is what seems to be the latest in steering, all electric. Admittedly, I'm not completely sold on technology that doesn't have a mechanical connection to the front wheels, but a set up like I saw in my neighbor's brand new Rav-4 would have eliminated the torment I went thru with steering. There is essentially no freakin steering shaft, boys!
I haven't noticed anything without a steering shaft, but everyone is using electric ***ist from the factories nowadays.
