1954 Cadillac Dashboard

    Hey!

    Can anybody out there tell me how i remove the Dashboard from a 1954 Cadillac?

    I have tryed anything but it will not get out of the car....

    Remove the inside windshield trim, top, sides and the trim above the dash...under the dash trim (against the windshield) you will find several 7/16" bolts...remove those. You will need to remove the chromed instrument cluster as well -one big screw above the speedo, two bolts at the bottom...these also hold the steering column in. At the bottom of the dash, on either side, next to the kick panels are two more bolts, accessible from the underside...remove those and the dash should come loose...but you'll need to disconnect all the wiring as well...and the heater controls...and the vent controls...and the speedo cable...are you sure you want to do all of this...and for what reason...???

    Thank you for the Info!

    I wanted to repaint it because everything inside my car is Copper Metal flake and brown/beige tuk and roll...
