Has anyone heard about the 1954 chevy shift linkage binding up after it sits for a while? I have a guy who needs it fixed because he says he can't get it out of gear. This is the three on the tree. Not sure if it's just rusted up a little or if there is a more common issue and fix. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to look at it, of course. Could be slop in the selector box at the bottom of the column, or stiff grease in there, or loose linkage, or binding at the upper pivot, or all kinds of things.

If you get into it and find some specific problem, we might be able to help.
