I just picked up a 1954 chevy 210 2 dr sedan and the drivers door window regulator is jammed. I removed the winder mechanism where the window crank handle mounts and took it apart. the spring inside was broken. does anyone know if I can get a new spring or a new mechanism or even a whole new regulator. I have tried but to no avail. Or has anyone put a mechanism from another car onto their regulator. thanx
You can change to spring. Be very careful. It can be done. Use a spring from a solar Tudor. Left are right spring will work.
