1952-59 Ford 1954 ford customline point gap help!!

    Does anyone know what the points gap messuerment size is for a 1954 ford customline 6 cylinder if not where I can find a free online shop manual?

    More than likely 30 degrees will get you going well . If like all other Fords , 28 to 32 degrees . If with feeler gauges I always used a .015 snug fit or a good ole match pack will set the points as well . Really it does set the points to 30 !

    that matchbook cover is a neat old trick for setting points gap. cheap too.

    Since I did smoke back in the day I always had Match Packs with me or in my car . It does really work out very well if you don't have any feeler gauges to set the points with . It worked on all Fords and Chev back in the day . I use to tell people that and they didn't believe me until I showed them one day . We use to do some strange things back then but they did all work !
    If you have never tried it , get a match pack and see for yourself .
