Can I install the windshield chrome trim without removing and reinstalling the windshield in my wagon?

when I had the gl*** installed they used a new rubber seal. I didn’t have the chrome trim at the time but I’ve since located it.

wondering if I can get it in myself without removing the gl*** or if the gl*** needs to come out?

Most times the rubber holds the trim in. So you have to remove the rubber thus removing the gl***. It's not the hard with the right tool and a helper.

If the install was using the mastic that doesn't harden you can push the gl*** out from inside and reinstall. I have use old rubber like this on rare side window rubber but it was using the factory adhesive. Some of that was like a caulk that cleans away. If they used a glue then you have get new rubber.
again not that crazy to DIY. I have done 57 ford windshields that have the dogleg. Earlier stuff is much easier. And I'm not a pro.

    Thanks for the info,
I’ll get some friends over and pull the gl*** and put the trim on over the holidays.
