Hi Everybody! I am Selling my 54 Merc hardtop!! I really really hate to sell it, But some big time things have come up that forces me to sell it. My long time best buddy since grade school has just been told he has terminal cancer. So he has decided to turn his prize 1958 Chevy Impala Convertible over to me. It is a truly beautiful original black 348 tri power car. We totally restored it back in the 70's-80's. I was there when he first bought it. ( $50.00 cash 1975) It had been sitting in a field near our work place for awhile so he went and checked it out and bought it. Then took a battery and a can of gas, a spare tire, poured a little gas down the carb and drove away!!!! I had a 58 Ford retractable that I restored at the same time he was doing the Chevy. When done with them we had some of the best times doing shows, parades, and just plain having a ball showing up at the local spots with both cars. The two cars always would draw a crowd everywhere we went with them. It wasn't often you would get to see two 58's Convertibles, Chevy and a Ford together at the same time. Well I finally sold my Fairlane and he still has the Chevy. Now that he has found out about the cancer he has turned the Chevy over to me for safe keeping!!! So If anybody here on the site is interested in the 1954 Mercury It is for sale!! I have pictures of it in my album so check it out I also have it listed in the H.A.M.B. Cl***ifieds. It will Make someone a super great Mercury for someone.
