hi, i am having issues with exhaust clearance in my 54 sedan. i recently started a v8 conversion, but the manifold on the driver side is not working. does any one have info on this process maybe pictures. my pit man arm gets in the way of actually being able to run an exhaust. i need a driver manifold with the down pipe exiting out the rear or in an angle i will post pics of my parts. the exhaust manifold needs to be exact size as the one pictured but with different down pipe*

  2. What about a 265 Chevy passenger side exhaust manifold? It would put the down pipe towards the front. $_35.JPG

Using the '55-'56 manifold is the first thought I had. It was pretty common back in the day as well.

Originally, I set out to use the same manifolds (95-96 Impala) on my '52 project with Manual Steering. The Power Box is doing you no favor. In the end, I bought I set of Sanderson Headers.

  4. Several threads on here ref. this. Old R&C did a good article on this change over. Probably eaiser to go Sanderson.
