wondering what coil can I run and get rid of the ballast resistor...maybe for a hotter spark,everything is stock any suggestions...........thank you in advance,1954 239 y-block
There are stock type coils that have a built in resistor. Check with a local parts store. I am running one of these in my 54 Ford with a later distributor. It is not a performance coil. I ***ume you have converted to 12 volt as the 6 volt cars did not use a resistor as far as I know.
