Just saw this in the cl***ifieds. Only 1500 bucks. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=545268
That price really dropped a lot ! You might be able to snag it for $1000 . Doesn't look bad for the money . I have a 55 fordor and really enjoy not having to climb into the back to get something , plus makes it very easy to take people for a ride too ! I also see it has a 3 on the tree too ! That would really be a fun car to have ! Jim
Yeah I'd go after that one and ditch the not-running '47 that's sitting in my barn but it's just too far to go right now, and too many other things taking up my time. I'd hate to be trailering that beast back to MI from TX thru a winter storm. Looks like it'd make a nice 'as-is' driver with a little bit of tinkering. I have quite a few leftovers from my '56, an old - I think - Hollywood? - 3spd floor shifter, and a pair of nice dual exhaust manifolds for that 272, etc.
That is a good looking body. Mines that straight, just has alot of surface rust and pitting. Someone over that way ought to scoop it up.
Good deal if the motor isn't stuck or bad . Still it's worth the price for the good sheet metal ! Jim
its on ebay , min bid 700 , only bid. thought i put the link on already. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955...4193976?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item41568161b8
And now my "**** of the Day Award" goes to HAMB member Reman who posted the ad for a 1954 Ford Victoria for $1500 in the HAMB cl***ifieds and left it unprotected with the gl*** knocked out and laying on it's side for 20 years, see the pics for rust holes.I doubt almost anything is salvageable it will probably fall apart when they load it up for the crusher if He doesn't put it on ebay.
