hey guys i am working on my 55 chevy belair brake linkage , i am on my 3rd booster now the problem i was having was that the pedal wasnt coming all the way back up, what i need to do is hook up the booster rod to the lower hole on pedal not the top ( stock ) hole , i need to figure out how i dont want to angle the booster it sits level now here is a pic , can you show me your hook up ? thanks
your set up looks like it wants to be in the upper hole. mine is in the lower but it was done in late 80s. maybe newer parts have evolved to be in upper hole?
Over the years several kits said to drill a new hole one inch lower. Many many cars have been built with the booster linkage in the stock hole. Have you tried driving and braking using the top hole.

yes i have tried it in the top hole , the pedal goes a little low for me, i really need to be lower hole i will try to angle the booster a little with washers thanks
Are you sure it's not just adjusted out far enough? Seems your linkage might be to short, I always adjust mine till the pedal is all the way up without pushing in the rod
I'm doing the exact same thing right know to my 57 {disc etc} and my directions say do not drill a new hole as that would only come into play if the kit included a angled booster and mine do's not, it has a flat fitting booster.
Mine is in the bottom hole. I have owned this car since 72 and I am sure it hasn't been altered since new.
