The two door post and four door sedan share the roof and all of the length dimensions, you can put 2 door sedan doors and jambs on this car without changing the length of the car or cutting up the roof skin. I have a '56 Special and a pair of doors and jambs and I was considering doing just that, not sure I have the ambition to take on the job though. My '56 hood was almost as bad as that one, luckily I had a parts car donor with really nice sheetmetal on it. I wonder why the hoods are so prone to rust out on these cars?
Cleaning the engine bay up. Got a fab/ hot rod guy going to put a rebuilt smallblock and automatic in it.......I hate a small block chevy (sorry guys) so going small block ford to be different and because I have a rebuilt one on hand with a c4 auto overdrive. I'm still in the market for a hood. Trying to figure out the best rear end, guess I will get a drum to drum measure and head to pull-a-part.
MORE PLEASE.. mine has been stuck in limbo for 4 years while other projects get finished up! POST LOTSA PICS@!!!
pulling the old motor upper motor mount for the 302.... made from 3/8 flat bar lower motor mount lower mount tacked to frame
I seem to remember reading about an option for the rear end in this car where a later center portion could bolt in to eliminate the torque tube. Now I can't find it. Anyone recall what this is?
That works on the 57 through 61, add a 62-63 full size center section and go, Don't think it works on the 55's
