Awesome man! Glad to see you are gonna hang onto 'er. You would've been kickin yourself in 5 years from now....or the day she rolled away!!
Cool Ted!! I know what its like trying to keep a business going, but a fella needs to have a toy!!! Best of luck with your business!! Bill
You'd kick yourself several times over if you let it go. That is looking so sweet. Totally understand about "down and alone time" wrenching on the beast. My wrench time is my de-frag time too. Glad your keepin' it! It's looking great.
here's a photoshop paint job. I think i would do a black roof. it'll be a short while before i can afford actual paint. but its fun to toss around ideas.
I like that color with white top or cream top with cream colored interior vinyl.....looks hella good....love this car. Can wait to see it hit the streets over here in LA. Then if you decide to sell it I don't need to ship it haha jk
I bet there won't be much vinyl on the interior lol, lotsa tooled leather!!! Ted's got some mad leather skills!! Going to have to start buying some of his stuff so he can finish the car!!! Bill
After I wrote comment I thought about editing it after remembering how dope his leather work is....I saw his site it's unreal....very cool leather work.
ted finally oked me to start finishing a few loose ends one his car . i told him i would redo the stainless on the passenger side for him after a struggle to find nice trim before he got it back . rear quarter window trim shaving rivets on the flipper rear window trim coming up after a ups debacle a week before he got the car !!!
Sweet, good to see progress on a chopped 55 Caddy. I suck since my plans to work on mine over Christmas got jammed in the butthole.
the other stainless pieces Flop chopped & welded for me are flawless. Honestly, you can hold them up to the light and look down the profile of the pieces and they are flawless. It feels extra good when the stainless work is paid for and came out perfect. Now i just need to rob a liquor store and get the bumpers done. Hoboy, sorry about your butthole. Hang in there.
Well, robbing a licker store of its whiskey is still robbery...and it'll still carry a hefty sentence if you're caught...and that's not going to help you in the least get the bumpers chromed...!!! Or finish the Caddy...better rethink that one...!!! R-
No, not serious...just my way of poking fun at you...stick around Ted, you'll get to know me...eventually... R-
Not a fan of a hard edged third color in this scenario. Similar design with a halftone incorporated as a Watson-style fade, perhaps. A paint job like that Merc will deter from the fantastic metalwork that has been accomplished, not enhance it.
Hey Ted long time no talk! Finally got a moment to catch up on your build. Glad to see the passenger side trim pieces I sent worked out. I almost fell out of my chair when I read that you might sell. Glad you decided not too. Looking forward to you coming out this way to LA. PS: I have a small shop with in-ground lift and access to paint booth next door when you get here! Danny
Hey Danny, I'm going to take you up on that. I'll have a nice budget too. Nothing new on the car. Been really busy finding an investor for my company www.BrooklynLeather.com As soon as i get an investor i'm moving to LA. I have a few interested people. I think within about 12 weeks I'll be out there. I'm really looking forward to hanging at all the west coast car shows i've been dreaming about for years. Ted BrooklynLeather.com
