Nice work! Everybody got their own style to chop -55 Caddy, there's pictures how i chopped mine http://kuvablogi.com/blog/9881/3/1/ Chopped 3'', widen 1'' from both side and lenghten 3,5''. I made rearclass like in '57 Buick. Stainless steel rims and classes are were challenging to make good looking... In picture theres no siderims yet and couple of small things are also missing.

I like Tuuanen's back light a lot...however, the metal work you did on Ted's is masterful...I could never do something like that...and the window works... R-
heres a little photoshop Kopperhead did i like the idea alot and the previous 2 ideas and a wider version
got the drivers side finished up cut out some stuff i didnt like and it ended up looking like this now with the flipper on i can see what the drip rails hid. now that there arnt any drip rails you see what i have to fill in well i got about 4 inches into that in the front and i ran out of argon. so much for welding this weekend .but man its gonna look slick with no drip rails!!
I will def say this guys got mad skills. Does anybody have a reccomendation for books on dropping roofs? My project will be along the lines of the "kargoyle" hearse.-thanx
thnks billy what hubcaps? thanks elwood. the window idea is from a 50 chevy coupe .well flattened out ...the second one is with about 4 or 5 inches taken out from the stock width. thanks yorfate .idk about any books .
The caps on the car. Ive seen them before but never knew what they were off of ..... I like the way they look on your caddy
surface they are 57 caddy caps with some sort of bullet in the middle taking the place of the crest . thanks farmer
Flopper! It's looking masterful. You're going beyond my expenctations on the drip rail and stainless. All this work will be your signature as the car nears completion and eventually hits the show circuit. Hope we can grab a whiskey if you come into Manhattan or Brooklyn next week. Ted www.BrooklynLeather.com
appreciate it ted we will get whiskey at the end of the month ! the thrash is on. inside garnish mouldings more updates toniiite!!
thanks zed!!! here we go gap filled to the flipper!! heres the rain gutter gap on the passenger side filled man im loving this part of the build. gonna start slicing the stainless soon!!
looks great Flop. Mike Alexander told me awhile back that he and Larry would fill up the stainless with lead when they had to curve or bend it so it wouldn't kink. Keep it up
interesting tip hoboy thanks well waiing for stainless rod to come in and still working out some small kinks in the back window lay out .figured we would lay out what Ted had in mind for his scoops. thats the general idea for the new scoops on. maybe some expanded stainless maybe some spears ?!
