    It looks even better since you have the smaller 54-55 bumper ends/exhaust ports. In my opinion it wouldn't look as good with the wider 56 ones that I have. Awesome work

    I started watching some random YouTube videos and came across a guy named Ron Covell doing some amazing metal working. I saw him build a fender from scratch using a wooden die and used that concept for the last piece, it worked great! And took maybe 5 minutes to beat out the rough shape. Might have to redo some of the other side

    We pulled the Caddy and trailer out to the front of the house to take some pictures. it's pretty awesome to see the car out of the garage and to step back and look at the progress. It's going to be fun taking the trailer out when they're both done

    Thanks fellas! I’ve been making progress, but mainly around the air suspension. Sounds like that stuff is a gray area to post though

    Haven't been able to make much progress but I did finally mount the rear shocks, paint everything, and now I'm getting the trunk back together

    Progress! All 4 doors in primer and sifted through the boxes of stuff to find the door hinges/strikers/handles etc. Got the Packard taillights back from the chrome shop too. Got them done at Speed and sport chrome plating in Houston, it was a great experience. They came out freakin awesome despite their crappy condition. They had to do 3 copper dips on one of them haha totally worth it though.

    Thanks man! I actually just painted some test panels a few weeks ago. I’ll be doing the original mist green on bottom, and a dark green flake top. [​IMG]

    The one in the middle is a silver metallic base, a .015” green flake in an interstage clear, and then 9 coats of a green candy. I didn’t quite get the flake ratio right yet. The one on the right is the flake on top. And the left is just the silver base. I like the middle one

    In my experience a silver mini and medium flake size mix under the kandy will make it sparkle way more and give it more depth. Just my 2 cents

    I may have mentioned that I’m building this car to drive off at my wedding in. The wedding is coming up on March 30th, so I’ve decided not to try and paint it before so that I have a realistic chance of making the wedding. But I’ve finished the last of the body work and have it all in primer at least

    I’m running a 700r4 behind the original 331, so I was able to mock it up and get the transmission crossmember modified to fit. Had to lengthen my driveshaft as well. [​IMG]

    Decided to retrofit a dual circuit master cylinder, while still maintaining stock pedal geometry. Worked out pretty well utilizing stock master cylinder bolt holes and making a bracket out of 1/4" plate.

    Modified a bolt to connect original pedal hardware to new MC

    And I'll be able to use a remote reservoir for both front and back.

    Also upgraded to disks in the front. I used a kit from caddy daddy. It worked out very well, it's a nice complete kit that uses a spacer on the spindle to clear the rotor of the caliper braket, and fits inside the stock wheels.
