I’m trying to figure out how to install the door and window exterior trim. I’m at a loss. I have all these clip looking things! Are these the right parts? Do these snap into the holes on the door. Pics attached.

    Thanks- Brandon

As for the clips shone on the bottom. The 2 short protruding points go in the hole and you hit the center with a punch which pushes them out to hold the clip and the stainless trim snaps on it. Use some putty under the clip before putting it in to seal against water seeping in.

Most clips like that go into the body and then the molding snaps on

Find the body and trim manual for the car. I found one for my '59 Ford on eBay. It shows the correct location of every trim clip. Most restoration suppliers have bad information out there.

The 55 trim book is the one with the yellow 56 on the cover. Exploded views of everything in 54-57’s cars. Saved my **** to many times to remember. E4A55673-2EA1-4227-934B-7E083CF37D4A.jpeg

In the picture of clips, the two on the left are used for the trim above the door handle and the two on the right are used for the trim below the handle. In both cases the trim rests on the top edges of the clips and then you press the bottom edge of the moulding down into rest of the clip.
