Truck was taken apart during restoration 20+ years ago in Australia and received quickie paint job. I purchased and had it shipped to Port of Norfolk Va. No engine or transmission. Since I received it I have done the following:
Switched out the entire right hand drive firewall /toe board with a 55/56 US Model to accept Left hand Drive and US Dash
Fit up 55/56 US Dash-all fit nicely
Installed US Steering box, automatic transmission steering column, drag link and steering components.
New in box power brake booster included.
Rebuilt front suspension. sway bar, new front shocks and all bushings
Installed Wildwood front disc brake set up.
Bought 55/56 US 4 Dr with nice running 292 Y Block-cleaned and detailed with dress up valve covers
etc.; Remainder of that donor car included in sale and pictured
Sent Fordomatic transmission to shop for complete rebuild and is on a pallet
Frame X members, bed rails, frame kickups and floors are solid as a rock. There is evidence of past body work, paint cracks and body filler along with a dent over DS rear tail lamp and prior dent/damage in DS rear wheel arch ares. I have 99% of everything taken off the truck-trim, light buckets, bumpers, medallions, etc. in storage/bins/bags & boxes. These bodies had same sheet metal as 53 thru 54 US Station wagon in rear and 55/56 front . Prior owner said rear end was bad and another one was shipped with the car. Included is the remainder of the parts car -which donated the firewall, is motor and transmission. I had Fordomatic transmission completely rebuilt. Lots of good trim and stuff on it to spruce the bare bone Australian look. I intended to use the rear end out of the parts car as it was geared for an automatic. Also included is a good running 302 with a C-4 if you want to stay out of the Y-Block era. Front clip and is bolted together finger tight and strapped on a pallet. Would prefer to speak with interested parties as opposed to countless emails. Call Nick at 703/966/8422 Truck is located 20 miles West of D.C. in Northern Va. suburbs. These are very popular and pricey in Oz and you will pay more than what I'm asking if you head over, find one, book p***age in a sea container with freight forwarder, pay customs on both ends and dock fees at release and convert the unit to LHD. $10K OR NEAR OFFERS. Please call with any questions
