A couple of weeks ago I was at a local farm auction. There was a 1955 Ford truck that was auctioned off. The truck had a peep mirror on the drivers side door. It was not your usual door edge peep mirror but it was fancier and attached to the door not the edge of the door. The mirror had a wing type looking arm. It looked like it was the original mirror on it and there was no mirror on the passenger side.
I have searched the internet for ford truck mirrors I am not finding anything like this and when I have looked at photos of trucks on the internet I am just seeing the regular door mirrors. Can anybody help me out and tell me what I am looking for? I would like to use one on my Buick. Thanks

I had a weird finned one that attached with a bolt rather than a clip on my old '28 truck. I was told when I bought it that it was from 'a 46 Mercury'...
