One of my rubber dust covers was torn, so I ordered just the covers. Looking at pictures of the arms, it looked easy enough.

I have tried to remove my bushings from the bracket and the drag link by unscrewing them. I get about a turn and a half and on both ends and it stops. I have even tried a 1/2 impact.

Manual just says to remove the threaded bushings, and to re torque.

I am missing something? Is it common for the threads to gall and have to cut off the old arm with a torch or sawzall to remove?

According to the pictures there are 2 bushings (1in socket fits) that simply thread onto the C shaped arm.

This is a new car to me in the last month, and just doing some fine tuning

I seem to recall that the bushings are left hand threads. Maybe instead of loosening you are tightening.

Rick is right. I don't think both bushings on the idler are left-hand thread, but one definitely is.

you need to unbolt the bracket from the frame. Then undo both ends.

Thanks for the help, i figured it out, the bushings remove from the drag link , and bracket with normal thread, the arm (C shape channel) is reverse thread
