1955 Olds 98 Power Antenna

I put a post up in the cl***ifieds about this, and got no bites.

Anyone know where I can find an ORIGINAL power antenna for a 1955 Olds 98, with the switch that mounts to the bottom of the dash as well? I just read some posts on how someone helped a guy find the radio delete plate, and It dawned this idea on me.

I see the switches on ebay from time to time, just keep a look out.

Far as the actual antenna goes, more tricky.. I think your best bet is to find a crossover with caddy/pontiac/buick/chevy - chances are they are the same unit ( as an example the window motors from this age are the same as chevy cars into the 70s ).

 

In all my years scrounging junkyards I only remember seeing one that had a power antenna and it was a crusty mess and probably would of broke removing it from the donor car,I wanted it for my 53 but gave up tryng to get it out. Look on ebay or in Hemmings motor news. Jeff
