    Which transmission fluid do I use?

    Is Dexron/Mercon 3 OK to use

    Yes. Dex/Merc III will work. I used to use plain old Type F in my old Mopar automatics...yeah I know its F*rd fluid, but I found it worked just fine.

    The book calls for type A fluid in a powerflite but Dexron will work.

    Some people use F, some Dexron III, some use a 50/50 mix.
