The biscuit wouldn't even fit on the bracket.

Do some research get oil filled stud type , for super smooth operation

  3. Do you ever have one of those "Ah Ha! I'm such a dumbass" moments? Had one today.

The C1 Corvette motor mount. It's perfect for what I want. Let's me keep the fuel pump AND an 8 inch harmonic balancer.

Best part is that I have one with frame mounts. It's on...

Remeber the HAMBer that was called 8th grade genius? He showed up at the HAMB drags one year in a 55-57 Thunderbird and lined up next to me in the G C/S class and walked the dog on my 12.second 40 (which is no slouch for a traditional street hot rod) I had to follow him back to his pit to see what the hell just did that. He had like a full blown SB2 nascar engine in that thing. Maybe he’s still on here and can chime in . I’d do whatever he says he did to his…..

  6. This is what I have:

There's a guy who makes custom C1 Corvette engine mounts that takes the stress off of the water pump.

Got into contact with him last night. If everything goes right, I should be getting a set from him in the near future.

The Hurst type engine mount uses a 1/4" or 3/8" spacer between the mount and block. You do not lose the fuel pump.

  8. You're wrong. I posted pictures in this thread. Go look at my pictures. There's not enough room for the motor mount.

Looks like the solution. I’ve never owned a C1, just out of curiosity what were the rest of the engine/trans mounts?

The spots that the mounts bolt to on my 292 Six are offset and I bought the last pair of 292 mounts that Chassis Engineering Inc. sold before they sold out to Heidt's Plus I got them at a "we are getting rid of this stuff" price. I bought the Ford Biscuits for a 52 F-1 Ford for pocket change and they are no doubt Hencho de China. These don't have the right angle but it is a similar idea to what Ididntdoit960 showed.
