    thanks ooltewah!!

    thanks draider

skaterman i doubt pittsburgh has anything on hawaii!!

nz i may end up doing some body work and primer on this one

well the panel above the decklid needs some work... looks like at one time someone had some 47 chevy style hinges on it and changed it to a decklid instead of a rumble . boy that really stretched it to hell!

    thanks Jim.

this panel was really really really stretched from the decklid hinges being bolted to it

rivets at the firewall. spot welds under the cowl . the panel simply wraps at the lower quarters . rivets, wrap and a few spot welds on the wheel wells . the quarter corner has a spot weld as well .

    thanks sololobo

  10. Do you use one of those shrinking disks or just an O/A Torch to shrink??

flt blk. i was using a stud gun to shrink .

  12. so you just put the stud on to add heat, then cut it back off?

Next time I'm Pitt to visit my Brother in law I need to stop by.

they have a shrinking tip you can buy for em ! i like it no need to mess with torches having someone else around to hold the torch while you hammer on the red spot etc

messed with the gaps on the drivers door tonight and got it fitting pretty well

then i decided to tack in the handmade patch i made for the drivers side.

    back at it tomorrow!

Very nice work as always. Quick business question..

How do you determine what you work on every day? You've got several Model As and that scooter you post pictures of but you're a one-man shop. Just curious as to how you decide that..

Thanks Matt ! I have a certain number of hours per week into each project so eveything progresses nicely .

put the triangle braces in this morning

green lines are stress cracks .

i welded them after the braces were in just incase the weld penetration prevented the pieces from sitting together nicely

    a little tig work

i cannot get over the fit of this panel !

    uncovering some old work

some old lead i dug out

does anyone have the measurement for the holes that go in the belt line behind the door?

cut out the big hunk of brass

and filled in the hole with some sheetmetal

the top was pretty rough where they shaved the reveal where the tab comes through for the top

so i made up a new piece

after some welding and filing i am pretty pleased with it
