Just thought I'd post this photo for those interested in lifters. The location of the groove is important.

Can someone tell me which SBC bellhousing I should be looking for with the Hot Heads adapter?
I'd like to put a TKX behind the 354, I think it'll work well with the 4:11 rear.
I see there's a bunch of options to go with. Stock build, so is original GM better or worse that aftermarket?
    Thanks

  7. Hot heads sells adapters for Mopar transmission applications as well .
Mopar had an excellent manual transmission,,,,,,they hold up very well behind a strong engine,,,,,especially a Hemi !

I did not. At the time, I guess I thought it would be simple to find, but as I searched, I found out way too much information!! Probably best to ask them.
    Thanks

Any thing in a 5 speed? Also the shifter location will play a big part.
    Thanks

Pretty popular conversion is the Ford T-5 5 speed. HHS sells an adapter for that. As far as the crossover I had to cut the crossover away from the WP housing then weld the bottom of the crossover. I have a 241 Dodge.

I have a T5 behind my flathead now. It's a little tired after being beat up a bit and the ratio's are not the best.
I got some prices on rebuilding it and changing gear sets but it's almost the same price to buy a new TKX when all's said and done. I'll spring for the extra dough knowing I have a trans I can grow with.
